PCS- a serious issue
Posted on March 15, 2009
Both my children have this, and it really is very unfortunate. It seems that there is only a temporary solution for this problem. If you have never heard of PCS, it stands for Photgraphers’ Child Syndrome…..and mine have it!! LOL! OK, so not REALLY a serious issue, but it does make it harder at times for me to get great pics of my kiddos. And the only solution is to keep the camera away for a little while :p
My daughter did agree to help out with a picture today and this is what we got:
Granted, I was just wanting to test out the new background….so she did help out! She even sat in my giant tea cup LOL!
I was even going to recruit the puppy to help out with a tea cup picture, but she is getting too big for it. So here is a beautiful picture of a tea cup!! I love this black and white background.

Oh, the joys of MOVING!!!!
Posted on March 15, 2009
Yeah right! If you have been reading my blog lately (which I know you have), you have seen we are in the process of our very first move with the military. Oh happy day, has it been great. I am totally being sarcastic….if you couldn’t tell
I thought I did as much as I could to prepare, but it is never that simple. But the good news is we are almost done with it all! We picked up most of our stuff, and are letting the movers get the rest.
I have a new bullet to add to the “mommy list” (see below post):
TMI warning—-
Getting to clean up after car sick daughter and dog…who knew they had that in common :p
I can’t complain too much about this weekend though, I got to spend some quality time with my family all together and we will have some great memories! I did get some pictures of the flowers blooming in the yard while we were there that I wanted to share….spring is here!!!!

More Me Mondays 3 | Killeen Photographer
Posted on March 9, 2009
Alright! You made it to the 3rd edition of MMM! Don’t you feel like you know me sooo much better now? I was contemplating what to write about today, and I figured since it is such a BIG part of my life….and the reason I started my business in the first place, I would talk about being a mother!
Being a mother is the greatest thing in the whole world….but it also drives me nuts!! I was fairly young when I had my children, and one thing I had to learn REAL quick was how to have patience! You know the kind…”God grant me patience, and can you please hurry up!”, yeah …that kind.
My babies are 18 months apart so they are real close. Being 3 and 4, they have learned the fine art of “ganging up on mommy”! Lets see what we can get away with, we just have to work together. LOL, They really are clever little munchkins. My son is the oldest, so he has noticed he doesn’t get away with AS much as Haley. So he has started to whisper what he wants to his sister, and then sends her to mommy to beg for it!! But I have caught on to this
So being a mommy for me means:
NEVER getting to go in the bathroom uninterrupted
NEVER getting to eat all MY food
I have become a great briber
Forgetting about having a clean car
Having priceless memories I wouldn’t trade for ANYTHING!!
My very own in home models/ guinea pigs for my obsess….I mean business
Here is a picture of the mastermind! LOL

Operation: Love ReUnited | Killeen Photography
Posted on March 9, 2009
I am so proud to say I have been accepted as a photographer for Operation: Love ReUnited! It is a great cause and I am excited to be a part of it.

You can find all the details on their website and more info HERE. Basically, I will completely waive my session fee for the families who have loved ones serving our country that are about to deploy, already deployed, or a coming home from deployment. Also included is a 4 X 6 album for the families who are soon to be deployed or already deployed that I will mail to the service member. The homecomings receive a DVD slide show of their event. You are allowed 2 sessions per year and have NO obligation to buy anything additional. These sessions will have a patriotic theme and will be a great moral booster for your loved one!
I am also including a percentage off of any additional prints that are ordered, just to say thanks to our men and women who fight so I don’t have to. Being so close to Fort Hood and me only being one person, I will try my best to accommodate all! If you or someone you know would qualify for this FREE service, please email/ call me to schedule or send them here to the blog. There are photographers all over the US who participate in OpLove, so even if they are not in the Killeen area let them know!
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a session please email me at angelab@angelabphotography or call 254-449-2825. More info also on the website under Info>Giving Back. www.angelabphotography.com

Posted on March 6, 2009
I thought this was a sweet picture. They really love each other! I have also come to learn that pet photography is no easy feat! Kudos to the photographers who specialize in it. I was nice to capture this moment between my daughter and our puppy, Dixie. Just wanted to share.

More Me Mondays 2 | Killeen Photography

This is a little late, but I figured better late than never
We have had a busy week! My husband graduated from AIT on the 20th and we have been in Killeen since then. I thought I was going to visit him for the weekend and go back, get some things together and get back with him the following weekend……yeah, no. I guess I better get use to this, afterall he is in the Army now! We have learned so much in this first PCS together, and needless to say I haven’t been able to take many pictures. We will be doing a little more running around in the next week, so I am still not taking sessions (but you can always book ahead!)
I think this move is really going to be a blessing for us! I am really excited to see what the Lord has planned. Both my kiddos will be starting school full time….and let me tell you!!! I am excited about that
I really like our new house, it is very cute and cozy! And I am brand new to the area, and looking for some great clients
So I have a lot of changes going on in my life right now, but I have faith it will turn out wonderful!
